multimedia stories

The 2nd Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism 2010 will be the premiere for the »Lumix Multimedia Award« including prize money of 5,000 euros for the best journalistic multimedia production.

170 photographers from 41 countries have applied for this award which will be given in addition to the FreeLens Award. The chance to create another narrative layer beyond the photographs seems to be used by more and more photographers.

We have already preselected the 21 best works which will be shown during the festival, on a big canvas in our photo studio as well as on iMacs in the big areaway of the Design Center. You can already receive an impression in the clips of about 1 minute shown below.

A jury consisting of Jan Hillebrecht (GEO), Fabian Mohr (Zeit.de), Kay Meseberg (frontal21.de), Robert Wenkemann (FAZ) and Markus Matthes (Panasonic) will then choose the one work which receives the Lumix Multimedia Award on the final party on Saturday, 19th of June.
